Sea-firefly (Umihotaru) Observation Program 2/9

“Sea-firefly (Umihotaru) Observation Program” will be held again! I know some people missed it last time and waiting for the next chance. By the way, sea-firefly (Umihotaru) is a kind of Crustacea and about 3 to 3.5 centimeters long nocturnal creature which produces blue-light at night. It inhabits Japanese shore. It stays in the sand at the bottom of shallow water during the day and move around for predation at night. “Sea-firefly Observation Program” will be held at Awase tidal flat landfill on February 9th. The fee is 500 yen which covers hand out(written only in Japanese, sorry!) and hot drink. Participants are required to bring a flash light, a pair of rain shoes, a hat, and protection against cold. Gathering spot: Umiera-Kan( a museum café) 3-47-1 Awase, Okinawa city / Date and time: February 9th 22:00 / Tel: 098-927-0116 (Awase Tidal Flat Landfill Preservation Society)
