Kokusai Street Performances

Kokusai Street is the most famous shopping street in Okinawa and called “The Miracle Mile”, as it recovered rapidly after the Battle of Okinawa. The street has been the most popular area among locals to shop around for a long time till big shopping malls are built in other towns. However, there are many unique stores sell local products, gifts, cloths, etc and various restaurants. So it is the fascinate street to explore and the recommended area to experience local culture. Shopping District Promotion Association started a new project to promote Kokusai Street to be more attractive area. The street turns into vehicle-free promenade called “Transit mall” on Sundays and street performers entertain people at 4 spots of the street. Street performance can be seen every Sunday till end of March. How about go to Kokusai street to enjoy performance and shopping.
