The 9th Katsuyuma Siqwasa Flower Scent Festival

Shiqwasa is similar to a lime and one of the Okinawan local fruits. It is very sour but the juice is Okinawa’s popular refreshing drink.
Katsuyama, Nago is famous for producing Shiqwasa and the annual event “The 9th Katsuyama Shiqwasa Flower Scent Festival” is coming up on March 9th and 10th.
There will be mountain hike, Shiqwasa blossoms walking tour, goats (Hijar) fight, etc. It is a unique event to experience Okinawan culture and spring.

Mountain hike - 500yen
Shiqwasa blossoms walking tour - 100yen
Goats fighting start from 13:30 for both days. (There will be lottery tickets and prize is a goat-300yen)
Hands-on program - making a pair of chopsticks using Shiqwasa wood (500yen).
